Easter Fun!

We had a blast on Easter this year! We dyed some eggs on Saturday night, and he had a lot of fun decorating them with stickers. He was fascinated seeing the eggs change colors.

On Easter morning, Isaac went through his basket from his Easter bunny. He got a book, a toy airplane, a dinosaur, and a stick horse! Then all of his grandparents, Great Gram and Grandad, Tio Shane, and Uncle Todd came over for a crawfish boil. It was the first time that Isaac actually tasted crawfish, and he loved it! He also enjoyed some watermelon. We had an Easter egg hunt, and Isaac played with all his new toys from all of his Easter baskets. He also got some clothes and a new picnic table for outside :)

God has blessed us with so many amazing people in our lives. We are so thankful to be able to share such good times with family. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Silly Boy

Isaac has been so silly lately! I love to see his little personality shine through. The other night we were dying Easter eggs and I brought my laptop over so that I can charge my phone. He demanded that I play Boom Boom Pow. Then he had a blast dancing to it while dying eggs....it's like he couldn't stop moving.

Then I was joking around him with him trying to get him to smile. He kept saying "cheese" and making exaggerating it. So I started messing with him and he totally cracked me up! He makes us laugh on a daily basis!

Angelman Walk 2011!

It's that time of year again to support our nephew, Austin, as well as all the other angels out there! We'll be able to attend the walk in Houston this year, which is on May 21. We are super excited because we couldn't go last year, and we can't wait to see the kids! We will be raising money for the Angelman Syndrome foundation and if you'd like to donate for Austin's team you can do so here. If you live in the Houston area and would like to come walk with us, let me know or you can register on the link above.

Austin has made so much progress since the last walk! If you'd like to know more about him, you can check out their family blog.

Singing in Church

This week at Isaac's daycare was "Week of the Young Child." It started off last Sunday with the preschool singing in church. When they told me that they would be singing, I couldn't imagine Isaac actually doing it. In fact, I couldn't even imagine him standing still at the front of the church. But then starting on Friday he was starting to sing the same song over and over again at home. I guess he was practicing! haha. The kids sang about 4 or 5 little, short songs. For the first 2 songs, he looked scared. It made me sad..he was in the front row and he sure did look cute! Once he spotted us in the third song he eased up a bit. Then he sang the last 2 songs. He did so good! He did the motions and everything! We are so proud of our baby boy :)After church, they had a little carnival and he had a blast!

I did take video of the whole thing on the camcorder but we're having technical difficulties getting it on the laptop. I'll have to post that later. For now, I some pics.

Springtime!

It's definitely springtime in New Orleans. That means it's hot...but not TOO hot. haha. Because of the beautiful weather, we're finding ourselves outside with Isaac everyday. Not to mention, he spends at least 45 minutes outside everyday at school. He loves the outdoors. Last weekend we put up our new vegetable garden. Well, some of it. We have an herb garden and then in a separate bed we have squash, zucchini, and peas. When Tat and Omi come next weekend, they'll bring my other bed where I'll put yellow and green bell peppers and green beans. Then in two separate pots I'll have spinach and tomatoes. I'm being ambitious this year.

Today we went to Lafreniere Park and ate lunch. Isaac went on the carousel twice with daddy! He also climbed up and went down the big boy slide all alone. Of course I was a nervous wreck! Tomorrow he's singing in the church service so I'll have some pics/video for ya'll :) Can't wait to see him.
