Catching Up on Belly Pics

Just as suspected...I have not been doing as much blogging this time around. haha. Well, I have been taking my belly pics though. I have to say, I am definitely looking bigger now that I looked with Isaac at this time. I've pretty much made the switch to most maternity/elastic bottoms. I'm just much more comfortable...especially after lunch :).

I'll be 18 weeks on Friday and I'm feeling great. I'm starting to feel little thumps now :). It's so exciting! Next Wednesday we find out the sex...Isaac is insisting it's a boy, which is making me think so too. Although Isaac's premonition may actually just be wishful thinking on his part. haha.

I used to be skinny!!

*sigh* Every pound that I put on for my baby boy has been worth it...but I can't wait to take up a small amount of space again! The worst is when you actually bump your belly up against someone. Sorry stranger, I can't suck it in! HAHA. So this post is my motivation. To tell myself that I was NOT fat before and that I WILL look like I did in this pictures again. Even though my boobs will probably be bigger and hips wider. =) Enjoy the pics...I'm such a ham.

"Still pregnant?"

Yes, I'm still pregnant. I'm not even late so technically I can't even evict him yet! I had my second exam today and I am still not dilated, but I am a little effaced (your cervix gets thinned out as you get closer to labor, which is necessary for dilation). Baby still hasn't dropped into the birth canal yet. How frustrating! I know it means nothing...it doesn't mean that my water can't break anytime. But we need to see some progress to have a successful induction, if that's necessary. Soooo, they're having me go in again on Monday or Tuesday. If I'm 3 cm or more than they'll schedule the induction next week. If I'm still only 0-2 cm, then they're going to wait to induce until the next week (that I'm due.) Hopefully in that case, I'll have him naturally before then. My mom will be here on Monday, so it looks like she'll make it for the birth.


As for me, I'm actually feeling pretty good. Quite a bit of discomfort and pain but not to the point where I can't walk or anything. I'm sleeping a little better...it's hard. My mind is racing more than anything. We have everything set up around the house that we'll need...just a little more cleaning to do. And mentally...well, I'm just trying to think positively and be patient. I know that God has a plan for us and Baby Isaac will be here when he's ready. I can't help it if I have a cozy uterus =)

We took maternity pics yesterday. It was really fun...I'm glad I waited this long so that I can be really big =). I was 36weeks 3 days in these pics. Can't wait to see our little man!

36 Week Picture

Yay!! So I'm officially 36 weeks. One more week and I'll be considered full term. I'm actually ok with my weight gain. I made a goal, and I didn't exceed it =). From here on out, I shouldn't be gaining anything. I guess I should lay off the ice cream, brownies, and Panda Express. And so far, no stretch marks! *KNOCKS ON WOOD* I can't see the bottom of my belly but Andrew swears there are none. And if he's lying to me...well, he's a smart man. HAHA. Hope everyone had a good Labor Day despite Hurricane Gustav and I hope everyone stayed safe!

32 Week Picture

Wow! I can't believe it's already been 32 weeks. Time is flying by. We are doing well. I am no longer working, but I am starting to get highly uncomfortable. The heartburn is incredibly painful at night. Yesterday I went in for a growth scan and I have to do that again in 4 weeks. They measured all his body parts again. He's an average sized baby and weighs about 4 lb 4 oz right now. It is so funny because we were looking at all his body parts and he kept wanting to show his boy parts! haha. We also went on our labor and delivery tour which was pretty informative. On Thursday I start my first nonstress test and then I have to go twice a week after that. I basically lay there with monitors on me. So yeah, confused by all the appts? Me too. Not to mention going to the regular doctor every two weeks. I have that on Thursday as well. Told ya it was confusing. Anyways, enjoy the pics...and please excuse my face...I was tired.

Well, here you go! I don't think it's much bigger from the 24 week pic...just firmer. I look back at old pictures and my 28 week self wants to slap my 8/12/16 week self in the face for thinking I was huge. *sigh*

24 Week Picture

Here I am! =) I'm not even gonna give any excuses...I love my belly. Today was Andrew and I's 2 year anniversary. Although we're celebrating by going out to dinner tomorrow night, we did have something special happen today...Andrew got to feel baby kick for the first time! And I actually saw my belly jump when he kicked. He's an active little baby in the evening. He loves the nightlife! Love to all.

I love my belly. As much as I complain (especially on here), you must know how much I love being pregnant. There's something so special about it. I feel so pretty even though I know I don't look it. HAHA. It's such a blessing to have my little guy in there and everyday I feel him more and more. On Friday I actually started feeling little kicks instead of just fluttering. It makes me feel good that he's moving in there. I think he's dancing =). I have gotten bigger and my belly has gotten harder. I still try to sqeeze in places and then I forget that I can't suck in. Here are some pics for ya'll...it seems as though Andrew loves the baby bump as well =)

I feel so lucky to experience this...it is such a blessing!! Love to all.

Here it is. I'm huge. I know it...but you know, I'm starting to embrace it. Baby is big too...so there's my excuse. Plus, in my defense it's really almost week 21. So there. I took one with my shirt down so you can see that I look like Winnie the Pooh a little bit. HAHA.

16 week picture

Ok, so here is my 16 week pic. I can't believe it's been 4 months already! It's funny because everytime I take a picture, I wake up and tell Andrew "Hey babe, I look skinny today...it's gonna be smaller than the last one!" As you can see, I'm delusional! HAHA...I've definitely got a belly now. Depending on what I wear, people may not be able to tell but some are definitely asking. Gone are the days of my size 6's and (Dad, cover your eyes) gone are the days of my 36 D's!! Wow. Elastic is my best friend right now. I'm loving the second trimester. I have much more energy and I'm not queasy 24/7. However, I do have a whole new set of symptoms which I will kindly keep to myself. If you must know, call me...I'll tell you all about them =) Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to see ya'll in 3 weeks!!!

Pregnant women have feelings too!!!

Ok, let me take this moment to vent here. Let me just say that before I was pregnant, this was one thing that I was not expecting. Ok, I know that I'm a touchy person and that I get offended easily but let me remind you that I am also pregnant which makes me extra emotional. Here we go: Just because I'm pregnant, does not mean everyone gets a free pass to comment on my body. I can't help what I look like. As long as my weight gain is healthy, then I'm ok. It's hard enough dealing with all these changes in me, but to have people comment on them is 10000000% harder. I knew I was going to gain weight, obviously...and it didn't bother me because it's necessary. I'm not that vain to try to stop it. But I find it completely and utterly disgusting that other people (acquantances or not) tell me things. And I know it's not just me either. It's like having a belly is a red flag for idiots.

Ok, there I said it. I had to vent. I guess now that I'm 16 weeks it's "ok" to show because apparently it wasn't before. Let me just warn you that I have some snippy remarks tucked away and I'm not afraid to use them!

12 week picture

Ok, here is my 12 week pic. I don't think I'm as bloated as my 8 week. I found the trick...take it in the morning because my night is much bigger! No more morning sickness! *knock on wood* but I do have new symptoms...indigestion, heartburn, and NONSTOP burping (ewwww). Other than that...I'm doing ok. It's more exciting each day! I miss ya'll and hope you're all doing well =).

PS-I added a pic with my face because Mel asked and I love her =) Also, Molly is in it because she wouldn't get out and we thought it was cute!

Ok, it's embarrassing to post this because I shouldn't be showing this much yet! Oh well...ya'll love me anyway =) I've only gained about 2 lbs. at this point but I was superbloated this day. Some days are horrible and it's like I need elastic! HAHA. Andrew likes it and thinks it's cute even though I know it's only bloat =) My 12 week pic should be up soon!
