Isaac is talking up a storm. And sometimes he blabs, and I have no idea what he's saying. With this new job, I'm able to pick Isaac up from school everyday. He gets so excited when he sees me, and I love it :). After I pick him up and we get in the car, I always ask him about his day. He tells me what he colored and he pulls out his paper, "I color this!"
Today he told me he went to chapel-they go every Wednesday. I asked him what he did and he put his hands in position and said "I pray." haha.
And the funniest thing...yesterday he told me that he prays at school. When I asked him when, he said "When I eat sandwich."
Our afternoon conversations have been one of the favorite parts of the day. I am amazed by how much he's talking and how insightful he can be sometimes. He comments on people's feelings, even Molly..."She's sad."
I'm so proud of my boy.

Back to School-3 Year Old Style!
So when Ms. Amanda sent info for us to bring one pullup only (for naptime) and one extra outfit (with socks), I panicked. He was supposed to use underwear the whole day? I knew this day would come, but I was stressing. So I packed 2 extra shorts and 3 extra pairs of underwear. She probably laughed at me.
So you can imagine my surprise when I picked him up from aftercare and there was only one wet underwear and shorts! That means he either held it all day or he used the potty! Since implementing his potty map, he's gone a few times. And today when we got home from school, I sat him on the toilet where he pee peed. Then while I was cooking, he told me that he had to poo poo. When I brought him, sure enough...he went! No accidents since we've been home. We are so proud of him :) :)
He had a great day today (at least I think so!) Here he is before school with his new lunchkit.
And here he is showing off his coloring sheet from today...with a silly smile and a pirate sword.
We're so excited to see his progress for this year!

Let's try something new...
We've been working on this potty training thing nonstop. I mean, I even tell coworkers that I have to "go potty" (as opposed to the restroom). LOL. We've kicked it into high gear because Isaac starts school next week, and well...he's supposed to be potty trained. He's not. Oops. BUT, we have progress. He's much better at controlling it. Yesterday he pee pee'd and poo poo'd in the potty and he was SO proud of himself. On Sunday I ordered a book from Amazon and we just got it in today. Since pirates are his new thing (and his birthday party theme this year!), we ordered Pirate Potty.
The book came with a little punch out pirate hat and some gold doubloon stickers as rewards. So I drew a little map and put it in the bathroom. When he uses the potty, he'll get to pick stickers on his map. And he only wears the hat when he's on the potty.
Wish us luck!
